REM Tec signed a Joint Development Agreement with Eni for joint research on specific oilseed crops in an agrivoltaic environment.
The research will be developed over a period of three years. The experimental fields involved in the research will be the agrivoltaic plant managed by REM TEC located in Borgo Virgilio (MN) and Eni sites in Italy.
REM Tec has been operating in the Agrovoltaico® sector for almost a decade and is present in several European countries, as well as in Asia and the Middle East.
REM Tec holds the world’s first patent for the creation of Agrivoltaic systems and another 15 patents related to implementations of this system, as well as the AGROVOLTAICO® trademark.
The partnership with Eni will play a key role in advancing sustainability, focusing on the agronomic and technological dimensions of the software and hardware subsystems shaping the agrivoltaic project.
